2005 BMW M3

"I wanted to build a street GTR for the E46 chassis. I found this Interlagos blue E46 M3 on a Craigslist listing nearly 8 years ago(thought it was a total scam at first). I drove it with the S54 for awhile, but eventually my throttle body actuator failed. I played with the idea of rebuilding my S54 and going with a turbo setup.. it wasn’t enough. The S85 is and always has been my favorite motor from BMW. It’s reminiscent of the early 2000s Williams team V10’s and represents a golden era for automotive. Of course, the E46 is my favorite chassis. The S54 is phenomenal, but not for a GTR spec M3. The S62 was a consideration, but ultimately felt too closely related to the P62 V8’s in the true E46 GTR’s. Nothing about this swap was straightforward or “easy” and I certainly didn’t get it right on the first go. I learned a lot over the course of this project and even now, I still have more to accomplish with it. I’m not sure I’ll ever be done. Stoln.v10 on ig for more content."
